Raymond Weil Freelancer AC/DC Limited Edition

Post by Thegreyman »

Rock and roll baby.....following on from the Beatles and David Bowie special editions, RW have now issued an AC/DC LE.

It comes in a manly 42mm size with stud-like applied hour indices and applied AC/DC logo at 12 o'clock. Only a 2 hander though with an open heart complication. Retails at about £1,795...not cheap.

I already knew it but it is a very ugly watch, for my taste. I dislike it a lot, since I'm a fan of the group. Forgetting Axel rose

When a watch like this pops up there are the inevitable dislike comments. Would I buy the watch, the answer would be no as it’s not to my taste. I ‘love it’ because RW have reached out to a new audience, I wish them well in making their latest LE a success.

I much prefer my Raymond Weil Beatles LE.

I like Brian Johnson and his love of cars, but AC/DC music a bit heavy for my tastes.
Basically, I'm for anything that gets you through the night. Be it prayer, tranquilizers or a bottle of Jack Daniels, Frank Sinatra

I guess the above post from The Beatles proves that there are people who like this sort of associated merchandise for their favourite band.

Personally, like sticking bits of metal or wood in watches to generate sales, it leaves me cold.
