Im a big fan of Field Watches as they are usually simplistic, have a great visibility and look great with a wide range of straps.

Wish CW would do one, though saying that there is 2 nice military inspired options by longines

^^that Longines at the top has potentially the worst application of a date that I've ever seen.

I wish I could unsee it.

Back in January, Frank (Nordwulf) showed us all some really cool design concepts based on a C65 and while this one design is not truly a field watch it is close enough in my opinion to show a field watch influence with a bit more dress look. Also an Explorer influence as well.

Cheers, Mike.

Thanks for posting that Mike. The image came from a thread with suggestions for the next C65: http://www.christopherwardforum.com/vie ... 7&p=691212

A field watch would fit in quite nice as well. Just add numerals all around the dial and presto! You have a C65 field watch. Add some ruggedness, anti-magnetic properties and a flashy marketing image of a mountaineer and you're done.

I am surprised to see several here have never heard of a field watch.
Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:CWL have a clear marketing dynamic and ethos to provide Dress, Diver, Aviator and Motorsports watch; as Mike France explained to me at SalonQP a couple of years ago.

A Field watch doesn't fit this dynamic / ethos.
They are a young company and changed logo 3 times already. I am sure there is some room for change in their marketing dynamic and 'ethos'. Motorsport watches are much more more of a niche than a sporty watch that's not a diver. Isn't the Aqua Terra one of Omega's most popular models? Halios can't seem to meet demand for the Seaforth with fixed bezel. And those sell for more than the C65 and C60.

The dive watch theme has been overplayed by most watch manufacturers. And I hope we'll see some smaller sized sports watch with the wordmark in the right location.

@nordwulf - pedantic point; if I may.

CWL have had/got three logos, therefore from the initial logo there have been two changes.
