Tag Aquaracer on nato
I’ve always struggled with the loose fit of my Aquaracer’s bracelet and lack of fine adjustment, so have tried a different tack and put it on a Nato. I think it looks decent, what do you good folks think? This model seems quite difficult to find alternative straps that suit it.

IMO the NATO doesn't suit a TAG.
I'll state up-front that I don't like NATO straps but even if I did I don't think it's the right type of strap for a "sporty" watch like a TAG - just get a nice black leather strap with white stitching.

Re: Tag Aquaracer on nato
Nice Tag you have there and I think it does look good on the Nato, good for casual wear on an evening or weekend maybe. For work wear you'd probably need a strap and as Mick suggests a black leather with white stitching would look good.
I've had a few Tag's and agree with the bracelet problem where you are "between links" where it's too tight and then too loose when you add a link back in. It's just your luck as I've not had this issue with any other watch including my Tridents. My Tudor and Rolex I think have micro adjustment to the bracelet but haven't a clue how to do that!

Re: Tag Aquaracer on nato
Thanks guys. Hadn’t considered black leather with this one so will look into options for that, with the white stitching. That could look really good! Generally not keen on putting leather on a diver, but it is on the dressier side so might smarten it up nicely.
I generally wear my Speedy for work although we are fairly casual in my office - but been reserving the Tag for the weekends since the nato went on.
It must be my wrists as the Speedy bracelet didnt fit either. I’ve recently been to the trouble of ordering a new adjustable clasp, their equivalent of the rolex glidelock and fitting it myself, which worked a treat.

I think an Aquaracer can look good in a nato but then I’m biased. I’m not sure about that particular one but that maybe because I don’t rally

But if the leather is sea related ...DanV wrote:Thanks guys. Hadn’t considered black leather with this one so will look into options for that, with the white stitching. That could look really good! Di-Modell Sharkskin
Waterproof to 100m as well
If it's not going to get wet, they have a slightly cheaper Fleurus sharkskin there as well.

Re: Tag Aquaracer on nato
@DanV - what size is your wrist and what size is the Aquaracer?
At first glance, and comparing with @James80 I'm thinking your wrist is on the smaller side. Is this perhaps the nub of the problem?
The NATO works for you as it is totally flexible and moulds around your wrist better than any strap or bracelet.

Re: Tag Aquaracer on nato
@Bahnstormer _vRS yes I have a very narrow wrist, about six inches so that doesn’t help matters. I think the watch is about 41mm. The nato is comfortable - especially this particular one that is more of an RAF style fastening under the wrist rather than at the side.
@Eddie thanks!
Good suggestions all, will look at the leather, sharkskin and hadley roma in more detail. Now I have too many choices... one of each required methinks

Re: Tag Aquaracer on nato
Or a similar nylon strap from Watchgecko
The Cadet grey would look good;-
One thing to mention about the Nylon/Cordura straps (from my experience of Watchgecko and CWL ones) is, whilst they are excellent and hard wearing, they are quite stiff and may take quite a lot of wear to fully mould to the shape of your wrist.
