I see it like that; though I do have room for a few more. I keep all of mine in a box 'cause I like the collection together! The day I wear one, I take 5 minutes to set it beforehand. If I'm running late, I'll wear a quartz.

Interesting topic Richard.

I won a Duo winder a year or two ago and after the initial buzz of having a new toy to play with, it has remained unused.
As I get up early for my day shifts at 4:30, it was handy to have an automatic ready to go to grab.
But If i'm home after 20:00 I just take whatever watch I want for the next day and set it after 06:00 so as not to upset the date mechanism etc.
No biggy really.

I also enjoy the time setting a watch and getting it going again, a nice pleasure.

Never owned a winder, suspect I never will.

Don't need the extra clutter, and I can't see how they impart anything except additional parts wear and ageing of lubricants.

Might be different if I had an ultra-complicated watch, but I don't.

Ps. Richard, that's an utterly sensational box full of watches.

I have a two watch winder and rotate, on a daily basis (pardon the pun), four of my automatics that have a screw down crown coupled with a date or day/date.

That way I minimise and negate the risk of cross threading the crown after having to wind and set them.
