Summer is hot, the rest of the year it does rain quite often but if the weatherman was believable I recon only half the days would be wet - they aren't so I sweat in my coat more often than I should.

There's a blue rubber Hirsch that looks surprisingly formal and the grey waterproof sailcloth might work too, will a look for real world pics...

Thanks!

Edit: Found the grey in the wild, it's not pale enough.

Maybe I should be looking at coats not watches...
A single-layer Gore-tex coat will be the best combination of breathable and waterproof...if you shop around, not prohibitively expensive (e.g. North Face Summit which I have)

English summers are generally speaking comparable to an Australian winter (well, the part of Oz I live in). I wear leather straps for nine months of the year but even in the very humid Queensland summers I still wear them from time to time, although I tend to generally stick with bracelets then.

The Hirsch rubber/leather/nylon combo straps though could be a good solution, they aren't cheap, but they work well. I don't like wearing rubber straps as a rule, but the one I have works just fine.

Usually in the winter I wear original CW alligator leather straps for my C11s and C60 pro, not the embossed one. But from May to October (this year I think not...) I wear bracelet (only the first month, then I need to replace it due its weight) and the rest of summer a good handmade leather nato strap. I buyed some of these from an english leather maker. Perfect because straps are just treated with silicone liquid. So, not problems with sweat or others. When its necessary I repeat treatment with my leather glycerine soap and cream.
