May sound expensive at around $2000 but still cheaper than any entry-level Omega and <insert-european-luxury-automatic-watch-brand-here> and a heck of lot more functionality.

^^^^^ I would stick to buying that Explorer next time you are at Heathrow!
Although as you say the Casio looks better value to buy than a lot of stuff at that price.

The Explorer is cool but will only show what time it is, not even the date..! You have to tell the Explorer what time it is. The Casio will tell you the correct time to the second by using a radio signal from an atomic clock or even beamed down space...! How friggin cool is that? Not too mention a sapphire bezel and a second hand made of a real sapphire.nbg wrote:^^^^^ I would stick to buying that Explorer next time you are at Heathrow!
The Casio name just doesn't have that exclusivity like Rolex. But then again, most non-watch people probably think the Explorer is a cheap Casio or Seiko from a distance anyways.

^^^^ I think that other than the strange people who inhabit watch forums most just view a watch as a watch.

Saw this film the other day too. Thought he would have thrown it away, casting off modern temptation now that his life had deeper meaning and true spirituality but nope.neil8fletcher3 wrote:Watched Dr Strange at the weekend the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual is a little busy for my tastes

I'm currently in a bremont love in so the Nomos ahoi has to go up against one of these boring fuddy duddies for the 'one watch ' or maybe just 'last watch'
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Bremont boring you say!Dancematt wrote:I'm currently in a bremont love in so the Nomos ahoi has to go up against one of these boring fuddy duddies for the 'one watch ' or maybe just 'last watch'
On a serious note, it's a good example of ownership of a watch changing perceptions about a brand DM.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
Neil 1) always wanted the solo but no screw down crown. The airco 's have them.
Tried on that's blue diver. It's nice. Very shiny and sort of really dull. One watches always are though.
Neil 2) Ive always hated Bremont for certain reasons (price, snooty ceo who looks like he's always drunk and thinks the sun shines out of his and more recently the tacky never ending Le's from the school of Big Bang et Speedmaster ) I looked back through all my comments marked Bremont yesterday before I posted this and there's a sort of love / hate relationship going on.
That military field style Is my ultimate style for a one watch I think.....and hey, it wasn't 43mm woo how (I know my alt1z is but it's a very early model, when a company grows it should surely have a few different case designs/ sizes to show off) Still overpriced though.

^^^^ I have never managed to buy one, but I still think a lot of what they do, they do very well. But I agree re some of the marketing BS.
However it must be working, as I still want an MBII.
No downside at the price you bought and it looks rather good.
