Re: F1 2017
Been rumours for most of today, from the German Motorsport press about this.
Story also on Autosport as of an hour or so ago.
Essentially; bringing the sport into disrepute.

Re: F1 2017
He should've been black flagged at the time imho.
The FIA is always going on about road safety, so for a four time world champion to get a stop go just sends the wrong message for deliberately causing an accident.
I actually quite like Vettel, but he has anger/road rage issues and should face further punishment.

Re: F1 2017
He probably deserves more of a slap on the wrist for his impetuous and dangerous actions, particularly after being reprimanded earlier in the season for telling Charlie Whiting (twice) to f**k off

Re: F1 2017
I wouldn't be surprised if he's forced to issue an apology, then case closed.
He was due to get further reprimands over the f-bombs last season until he apologised. Given he risks a race ban, he'll just have to say sorry for the incident he has zero recollection of!
The FIA Road safety campaign has already been made a mockery of with the time taken to issue a lenient penalty for road rage.

Correct - and if they don't do anything about it now, he'll continue to do it.what-time-is-it wrote:He should've been black flagged at the time imho.

We've seen plenty of blatant "drive into opponent" moments...such as those by another multiple world champion German in '94 in Adelaide and '97 in Jerez
Vettel was dozing and got caught out - his own fault, no-one else's. Interesting to look at who in the field currently has penalty points, and why...Mr Vettel leads that particular 'championship' too, and all for dodgy driving - he thinks he's untouchable:

Re: F1 2017
Ok the points system is quite new, but he's scored more points than Maldonado ever did
Also, when you compare the 3 points to other ones... it seems very lenient (regardless of the in race penalty).

Unfortunately driver contracts aren't very public. It seems like he will stay but he might have an out in his contract.reggie747 wrote:I read today that he'll be at RBR next year no matter what.Thegreyman wrote:^^might be enough to drive (excuse pun) him to Ferrari for 2018?

Christian Horner said quite recently that Max does not have an out in his contract, so he will still be at RBR next year.esk1 wrote:Unfortunately driver contracts aren't very public.
