neilj568,
Thanks for the heads up. Looks like this post will make me hit 30 and then I can have a peak.

Nicely balanced vintage, mid, modern collection Kevin.
Taken some work to get there; didn't realize you've lost the C70 D-type along the way.
Good move on re-buying the Bulova Moon Chrono and I'm pleasantly liking the Tudor BB.
I'm surprised to be liking the Rolex Precision too (long had a thing not liking Rolex). I think its the straightforward look to it that attracts me and, whilst narrow, it has long lugs.
Keep flippin'.

Re: Kevin_b1 - April 2017
The collection is slowly moving to new homes,
Omega, C60, Bulova and Steinhart sold.
That still leaves the Rolex precision, Grand Seiko and or the BBR to be sold.
In far to shorter time the Rolex datejust will be handed down to my son and the Rolex dress watch to my daughter.
The C5 BoB which my wife bought me will return to her not that she will ever wear it, to big and very tiny wrists.
Time is short upon this earth enjoy what you have, live life to the full and don't get caught up in things that are really unimportant.

Re: Kevin_b1 - April 2017
When I popped over to see Kevin yesterday to collect the Steinhart Ocean GMT from him (we only live a few miles apart) I couldn't help but take a look at his Rolex Oyster Precision, having previously commented;-
Looking at it in the metal, the Oyster Precision is a gorgeous piece. Yes, 34mm is on the small side but as a Vintage watch would be perfectly livable for me. The case has a fabulous curve to it, in the same manner as the new CWL C1 Grand Malvern, that lets it sit beautifully on the wrist with the longish lugs following the contour really well.
The acrylic crystal has a wonderful raised, flat topped dome to it, about 2.5mm up from the level of the case; again Vintage and gorgeous.
Considering that it is 38 years old, it is in wonderful condition. The case, polished bezel and crystal are unmarked (as far as I could see) and the only true blemishes are a few hairline scratches on the caseback; but then you don't look at that when you are wearing it.
Here's a photo from Kevin to remind which watch we are discussing;-
Kevin has got this in the Sales Corner presently at £1,300 which, when similar watches seem to start on Chrono24 and other websites @ £1,700 and upward seems like a really competitive, forum friendly price.
I'm sorely tempted to get it myself but, having bought Kevin's Ocean GMT as a 'one off' incoming, I will need a 2-3 watch consolidation to account for it, which will be really hard to work out; unless someone else buys it first.
Guy
I was somewhat concerned that 34mm might be too small for me, with the experience of my 1950s Roidor which IS too small (truthfully) and I thought was 33mm; except that I'd measured it on Saturday @ 30mm w/o crown (dinky).Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:. . . . . Greetings,
I was enjoying reading through your collection, until I reached the end.
I'm not sure why you are breaking up your collection but I'm sure you have a very good reason.
I am sure it is not something that is easily done.
Best wishes.
