Any plan on a substitute for the C9 Small Seconds?
I own a C9 small seconds, purchased from a forum member, which i really like. Anyway it's an extremely classic design... anyone knows if at CW there are plans for a dressy hand wound version of the SH21? Like the C1 grand malvern evolved the design of the old C9s, it would be interesting to see a hand wound, power reserve dress version of the SH21 in a more modern design language compared the old c9 SS. Right now the only way to go hand wound is the (very nice imho) C8, but it's a completely different kind of watch.

The C9 5 Day SS is a hand wound SH21. It was released in July 2015 so it is not exactly old. However, the long range plan seems to be to replace the C9 cases with a C1 type and move the models into the Grand Malvern family. You might get your wish.

The new small second will be launched around October / November time this year.

No problem - I asked Wera ages ago as I didn't know whether to get the day date cosc or wait for the release of the new JH or ss....and so she told me JH would be launched in April and ss in August.

Kind of want to cry now, loosing all the C9 cases for the C1.

it will still be too thick if the C1 case is used. A thin, 8.5mm or less, SS design would be wonderful, but alas unlikely.

I don't see how it could be put in a 8.5mm case using the sh21...

I am waiting for a new small seconds too. I really like the current version, too bad it's not available anymore.

A manual wind eta/ sellita movement would be the likely choice which works just fine. That would be a wonderful addition to the line.Valentino87 wrote:I don't see how it could be put in a 8.5mm case using the sh21...
