Thegreyman wrote:They are beautiful watches Dave, the reverse Panda is stunning. Don't know how much these are but guessing tens of thousands. If I had the money I'd probably buy one, the PP though (is it a Nautilus) does nothing for me.

The PP is the Aquanaut and although a super fit for me, it didn't blow me away.
However the ALS white face .....the up down ( a fascinating read and history ) was worth considering through
a further consolidation.

The Bucherer Moser Blue is also worth considering, and again, through a further consolidation.

I will "handle" the Moser, hopefully next week

The Aquanaut is the only one I'd choose from those above. Which only goes to prove how we like different things.

Whatever new model may be released will NOT be a unique #000 so I'm not bothered. I know I'm paying a £300 premium for that uniqueness, but I'm happy to do so.

The up/down is my unobtainable grail, absolutely beautiful. The 1815 chronograph is also lovely, but I like the sub dials location less

It does indeed and as the saying goes, if we all liked the same, we would all be driving black fords

Just shows, tried this limited edition Omega on today and a brand I have never tried on......what's it called ? Great Grand Seiko

Nice watches but..........Not for me :(

So Dave when I flog off my CWs, Speedmasters and GS' to provide funds towards an ALS, PP, AP or Moser does that mean you won't be picking them up at a bargain price?

Got my first chance to really handle rolex yesterday as it was the watch my friend decided to bring along for climbing the ridge route to the summit of snowdon. I was more concerned about the watch than he was.

The shade of green seems to constantly change, hard to accurately describe but lovely. It was hard handing it back

^^^^ That looks to be a reassuringly expensively complicated VC Greg. I am coming round to the point of view that if I ever did go down the route of consolidation to say 6 that one of the 6 ought to have a few bells and whistles - but that one is a step too far! :)

^^^ Definitely one for a winder. You don't want to be re-setting that over breakfast before going to work!

Impressive watch though!
