NATO - Trident - C8
Umming & arring over several of CWs' offerings but the same drawbacks keep showing up, well several to be brutally honest.
1. What might either the C8 or C60 look like bearing a NATO strap? [images needed]
2. Will the C60 be produced at some stage with a blue dial?
3. Why is there not a product sat twixt the Trident Auto and the GMT? [I love the bezel upon the GMT, which could be used on the Trident to create a GMT, and the current GMT could have been branded as the GMT+].
4. I love the orange markers within the GMT, though I realise that not everyone else agrees. Why then is there no choice within the models for plain green lumes or otherwise?
Yes, I expect far too much.

Re: NATO - Trident - C8
I have a C8 IPK that i can put on a nato.
Already have a pic here, bad quality phone pic:
I can get it on another (black with black buckles) if you like, or most any other color.
Just let me know.
The C60 is already produced with the blue dial, it's the C6 Forum LE:
Click for larger.
Limited to 100 pieces and sold out
No idea about the other questions.

I have put a few watches on NATOs but neither of those. If you like the watch and a NATO strap you will like the combo. I have found that people who like NATO straps will put them on any watch.
2. Will the C60 be produced at some stage with a blue dial?
As Richard says it was done for the first Forum LE and there is the C6 quartz with the blue dial. The same blue dial is used in the C600.
3. Why is there not a product sat twixt the Trident Auto and the GMT? [I love the bezel upon the GMT, which could be used on the Trident to create a GMT, and the current GMT could have been branded as the GMT+].
Not sure what you mean by that. The C60 Trident Auto and C60 Trident GMT have only been released. So at the moment the auto is only in black and there are 2 variations of the GMT. The both use the same case but the GMTs have the GNT movement and bezels to go with it. I would like to see a standard auto version using the orange GMT colours myself. I believe that more designs/colours are on the drawing board but who knows what will happen.
4. I love the orange markers within the GMT, though I realise that not everyone else agrees. Why then is there no choice within the models for plain green lumes or otherwise?
See above. These have just been released. CWL is a small company and can not make too many variations. Especially on a new range.
Yes, I expect far too much.

Re: NATO - Trident - C8
Not sure I like that combo Black or blue might be suited to my taste.I have a C8 IPK that i can put on a nato.
Yes I have seen the C60's with blue faces but they look about as bad as the £10 Slazenger's on sale at the local hardware store.
I was interested if whether CW might intend on producing the dial of the Trident in blue as there is a certain appeal to it.
As far as the movements go I see no reason why the 2824-2 used within the Trident Auto cannot be combined with the numeric bezel used on the C60 Trident GMT which would make it a standard GMT.
What confused me slightly is,
Surely it is the combination of bezel and movement which is the reason for this ability, so I went away and looked at similar products. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s ... clnk&gl=ukbecause the Trident has a uni-directional bezel it is possible to know the time in three time-zones simultaneously
Not as good as CWs' offering however.
One day the perfect watch will arrive.

Here's a quick trial of my C8 on a black Nato (shiny buckles I know, but it was all I had to hand). I have a few Natos but only really use them on dive watches.

Indeed it is. The blue of the C6 (C60) Le is stunning and as it was brought I switched to it this evening. Here are a couple of pics.downer wrote:Now that is fighting talk.Carter-Blood wrote: Yes I have seen the C60's with blue faces but they look about as bad as the £10 Slazenger's on sale at the local hardware store.
It is a very different watch but it does grow on you. When I put it on earlier and was looking at how the blue shimmered and changed with the light it made me smile.
You could always go with the C600 blue which looks more serious surrounded by black.

Great pics Ian, of course, and there are many brilliant C6 / C60 / C600 posts on here.
Blaz takes a nice one of the C60.

C8 on black NATO looked fine.
C600 also a vast improvement on the C60LE.

I don't wear them on Natos normally (or ever, this was just done for these photographs), I hasten to add, but I will say this:
1. I thought the C8 might have looked better on a Nato. Disappointing.
2. I thought the MCII would look even worse than that. Disappointing.
So there you go folks. Natos - the great leveller!
