At some point I shall knock together a chicken Caesar, but I've just had a very large Opihr and Fever Tree and am about to pour another.

Some years ago I ate a "Full Irish Breakfast" in a Dublin hotel. Slightly tongue in cheek I asked the waitress what the difference was between that and a Full English.

"Well," she said, "all the ingredients are Irish, it's been cooked and served by Irish people and you're eating it in Ireland. So it's just better."

Irrefutable logic. :D

You're often offered a choice of either "square or link" (or both). Square sausage is a delicacy...maybe not to everyone's taste

I lived in Pitlochry for 8 years, Patrick...I know a few Scottish delicacies. Quite partial to the mutton pies and the haggis, Forfar bridies, Arbroath smokies and the like...just never got a taste for square sausage or deep-fried pizza!

Interesting you used to live in Pitlochry...lovely town and we've had quite a few weekends up there staying at Loch Faskally and enjoyed some lovely lunches up at the Moulin Inn  No decent watch shops mind

I'm with you on the deep fried pizza!
