titanium trident! anyone got one in the plain titanium ?

Post by gregstar »

hi all,

been away from watches and the forum for a while and happened to have missed a few new releases. I was around when the trident 2 came out with the new quartz version also. This time i got back and there is a titanium cased version. i think it looks superb and may start the hunt for one. does anyone have one? what do you think of them
One day I'll get found out.

Saw it at SQP with Bahnstormer_vRS. Incredible light in comparison to the regular version.

i never actually considered the weight....... wondering if it would feel different because its lighter. I've got the standard trident and a ball hydrocarbon they are both pretty weighty especially the ball. it adds a sense of it being special when its heavy i think. the ball verges on too heavy though

Yup; definitely light. Noticeably so on a bracelet, the version I looked at.

I've got a Marathon Jumbo Diver on bracelet that's a hefty 225gm. The Ti Trident felt like it was half the weight.

Here's a couple of photos.

I have one, and am very impressed with it. Noticeably lighter than the steel, and it looks great. Despite what some may say or poor photos show, the dial is very legible. The only slight downside to the watch is a fairly weak lume, but then us CW owners are used to that.

I have a few pics in the Gallery section.

I'd say legibility is on a par with the white hands on white face Tridents. Nice and light on the wrist, although I'm not a big fan of the wavy pattern on the inside of the rubber strap - I find it a bit less comfortable than the smooth versions.

I notice they're no longer listed on the site, although a picture is still being used at the top. I wonder if that means they've been retired or they'll be going in the next sale?

There is a titanium listed on eBay, variation 2 type, I have been watching it for a while and the price jumps around a bit.
