Thanks, I'm proper chuffed with it, as they say round here.

It's better up close than the picture on the website, it's got a subtle quality which the web picture does convey. I'm very pleased with it.

I've just ordered a watch winder to go with it as well.

Might just add that I don't think the styling of this watch is "faux quality" - it looks like real quality to me - and there is no way I would have paid what I have just paid for this watch with the new logo, which Looks like the sort of thing I would expect on yoof fashion items.

Sorry for coming late to this debate, but it was the threat of the logo change that finally made me buy!

My new watch gets its first outing today at Cosford Air Show, where I am lucky enough to to have been invited to the VIP enclose. Flying display starts at 11.30am.

Well I have to admit that I am pretty deeply disappointed. My C9 BDD is back with Christopher Ward - the movement having failed to hold a wind - the watch stops about an hour after being taken off.

The response from CW has been polite and friendly but the eight week waiting time for repairs on a watch under warranty that is less than three months old strikes me as poor, to say the very least.

Not quite the Rolex of the Internet yet, I fear.

I was planning to buy a Trident as a weekend watch. I will have to think again. I still like the style of CW's watches but I am disappointed at this turn of events.

Sorry to hear of the problem. While it is certainly disappointing when new items develop an issue, this is why they have a warranty. While it doesn't make it any easier to accept the wait time, 8 weeks (average) is pretty normal for overall processing and repair regardless of CW or Rolex. Many are considerably longer.

I do hope that your watch is back on your wrist very soon, It is a real beauty.

Thanks. I like it very much, but it does shake my confidence when a new item, a premium item by anybody's standards, needs to be repaired so soon.

Well, I have had a long discussion with CW about the repair of my C9 BDD - and I have to say that notwithstanding the fact I am still disappointed that a nearly new watch requires repair, I have been very impressed with CW's customer care and the time they have taken to answer my enquiries.

So, despite my earlier reservations, I decided to go ahead with the purchase of a C60 Trident 600 - mainly as a weekend watch, while the C9 does work service on Monday to Friday. However while the C9 is under repair, the Trident can serve seven days per week.

I have to say, it is a very classy looking sports watch.
