Thanks Ferg.

Not the best of photos but I'm sure you get the idea. :)

I've fancied a C700 Grand Rapide for a few years but, having got a C40 Speedhawk in my collection (at the time), I couldn't justify a second 7750 Sports Chrono. Plus the C700 is not a cheap watch. One of the features I like is the baton markers and I nearly bought your C7 a few weeks ago, as I prefer the baton version.

Well; I've not got my Speedhawk these days (scrogg is custodian of it now) and this C700 popped up as a late addition in the 'What Chris has got on his desk' forum exclusive sale last weekend at half the last RRP (£475 on bracelet) but I got beaten to it by Simon (scrogg) by a couple of hours! :(

However, as luck would have it Simon loves the Speedhawk but couldn't gel with the Grand Rapide so, being a true gent, he offered it to me for the price he'd paid. An offer I could not refuse. :D

It arrived this morning. It comes with a bracelet but, in agreement with Simon who'd taken the bracelet off to try a rubber strap, we agreed he would not try to refit the bracelet and I've popped it on a C11 HRDC strap for the time being, whilst I wait for something rather special to come from Watch Obsession.

I'm a happy chappie. :D

PS> Here's another couple of shots as we don't see many C700s on the forum these days.

Flipping 'eck, you kept that quiet!!!!

A most excellent purchase, and great that you have another wobbler in the collection.

Good man. Delighted for you on this one. One of the most underrated CW watches in my opinion.

Thank you. It's one of my Second Time Around watches: bought once, sold and missed so much that I bought again. CW actually made this to order for me last year.

Quick query. Did they manage to line up the second hand with the markers on this then; or is it still a homage to the original that didn't?

BTW I do like that. I am becoming more inclined to white or cream faced dials lately.
