Three nice watches above, for sure...

Saw one of these (very briefly) yesterday morning:

Hoping to have a proper look on Friday.

Yea, most panerai are way too big. Not my cup of tea. But this was interesting - how a panerai is made.

I think the 47 wears well here due to the shape of the case. But I'd be curious to see it in 42 mm.

Currently, a Grand Seiko SBGM025. I'm not sure if it's the sheer allure of the JDM-thing or that blue GMT-hand, but there's something about the thing (pic shamelessly stolen from the interwebs)!

Been thinking that I need a decent understated classic dress watch. It's a great shame that this is: a) not available in steel and b) not available at 10% of RRP.

PP5196P - still this is a dreaming thread!

I've been away from the forum for a while, but have recently been dreaming about these two - one hard to find, the other a bit spendy for me...

All this talk about Damasko on the forum (and elsewhere) is having an effect!

I used to own a DA36 (from P&C), loved everything about it, but over time, I just didn't find the watch stimulating enough and moved it on, but the quality was self-evident and aah, that case, just so tactile, not to mention being very tough. When sold it was as good as new.

Anyway, looking through the range, I have become smitten by the DK11 with the white dial and in-house movement.

Someday you will be mine!

Having seen it briefly in the airport, I ventured into town this morning to have a proper look:

For me, it's a strangely attractive watch and different to anything else in my collection. The fluted bezel and overall dressy feel are normally things I would avoid, but this is a stunner - especially the pie-pan dial and good mix of practical features (lume, good contrast, 100m WR).

As for the movement, I think Omega are advancing the technical aspects of movements faster than other mainstream makers - and that aspect is also appealing.

It will be Damasko chrono vs Sinn chrono (EZM13/103) when the time comes.

There was a guy here who really lurved his Damasko and wrote a fantastic piece about it at the time
