I go for a trimmed/heat sealed end rather than a tuck as well:

Re: Nato Straps - Inside tuck or Outside tuck
The NATO's from timefactors are a bit thicker and are easier to tuck to the outside...

Can anybody please add a picture of a C60 38mm with a Nato strap with an angle more from the side, so I can see how high the watch is above the wrist? I guess it's a little higher with a Nato strap compared to a regular strap.

If you're worried about the height then you can lose one of the straps that go under the watch on the traditional nato (or get an raf strap that's single anyhow).always_intime wrote:...I guess it's a little higher with a Nato strap compared to a regular strap.
I've found on the nylon nato type the extra strap and height is negligible (well, I can live with it). However, if you go for leather nato type then it does make a difference.

I use nylon nato, so I prefer to tuck outside. I find them also easier to remove when tucked outside

Inside tuck unless too thick then it's an outside tuck.
I won't cut and burn because I like the tuck, I think it is part of the nature of NATOs.

Inside. And if it's too thick to tuck inside, then I won't wear it. Just looks sloppy to me. I stick with toxic natos or timefactors now and it's not a problem.

Me too. Stiffness isn't something I'd class as a problem.Lavaine wrote:I tuck my Zulu straps to the outside. I tuck Nato's in, as they tend to come untucked if done to the outside. The stiffer Zulu doesn't seem to have this problem.

Re: Nato Straps - Inside tuck or Outside tuck
It really depends. Couldn't bother to tuck it inside most of the time honestly. I also like the more relaxed look if it makes sense.
