Lovely watch, a keeper to be proud of. Nomos are thoroughbreds with in house movements and cases. You don't need to look at the dial to know that it's a Nomos a look at the lugs will do! Takes design expertise to produce a wide variety of pieces but all with the Nomos look. To me the brand is the first step in the ladder to Glasshute Original and then the ultimate, A Lange & Sohne. Something to look forward to!

Has anyone had any dealing with CHRONEXT in terms of refunds? They have the Ahoi Atlantik in stock ready for delivery but wanted some real world experience with them for returns. Thanks in advance. Adam

There are a few threads on tz-uk..

Overall, I think it's positive - but you should satisfy yourself.

There are also a few discount codes - one is TUBE100 - although I think I've read there is a better one, but I couldn't find it.

Written a few days ago and copy and pasted just now...

Managed to get and try some Grand Seikos and the infamous Ahoi Atlantik a few days ago. Photos below and some waffle below for your enjoyment :D

Firstly I was blown away by the excellence of the Grand Seiko’s. Everything about them was immaculate and they just ooze quality. The 2 I tried on were the best watches I have handled and tried on. Definitely on the list for the future.

The black spring drive was absolutely gorgeous (will update model number later) and the way the dial, well in fact the whole watch plays with the light at certain angles is absolutely astonishing.

Next was another stunner, with that amazing blue second hand. The sunburst dial was amazing, although the chapter ring was a very slight let down for such a lovely piece.

The second hand on both models were flawless. It was perfection to look at that sweeping motion, I have never seen anything like it before. Top class for sure.

Last to try on was the Ahoi. Out of the (lovely) box I was not as taken as the Grand Seiko’s, but that only for a brief moment. I think the fact that the Seiko’s are so well made it took a bit of the shine off the Nomos initially. However, as flawless as the GS’ are it was the Ahoi which I most bonded with and I feel it is just something that little bit different.

My feelings are that it is a very comfortable watch and although it does a good job of filling my wrist, it doesn’t look ‘silly’. Lugs are probably on the limit, but my Black Bay is only 0.5mm smaller L2L …

All 3 together.

Obviously your views and opinions are more than welcome.

Thanks for looking. Adam

I'd buy one tomorrow if it wasn't for the polished finish. I don't wear my club enough and have considered having it bead blasted. I'd have to have the Ahoi done the same to get decent wear out of it otherwise it would be another sit in the box for posh outtings watch :(

The Ahoi looks great on you. The GS are special watches that give you a different feel to the Nomos. I like the black GS very much.

For me the Ahoi is much more wearable than the Club - with regards to the polished sides. This is probably down to the incredibly small bezel. Having had both in the box the Ahoi always won when it came which to choose. The Club hardly got chosen - the Ahoi is always on my wrist.

Hopefully we will see one in your box soon

May I ask what the issue is with the polished case? I tend to wear a polished case almost daily and am not seeing a negative to this?
