Hello,
Recently, I purchased C7 Rapide chronograph MK2-V390.
I am not an expert on watches. I have a couple of questions on this particular model.
I chose this model because it has a leather strap.
I received a watch with leather strap, but I thought it is supposed to have some type of clasp(butterfly clasp shown in booklet).
However, it is just a plain strap without any clasp(I am not sure clasp is the right word). It has just a buckle.
So, if anyone has this watch, could you verify whether this is the right strap for this model?
When I asked by email, she(Wera) replied by saying that it is supposed to have a dress clasp.
Again, I am not sure what dress clasp really means.
Another question is about the chronograph function.
When I tested that function, it seems like 1/10 second hand rotates for a while (exactly 30 seconds) and then stops. Center stop second continues moving. Is this normal or something wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Question on C7 Rapide chronograph MK2-V390
Firstly Welcome to the forum
The buckle you have is correct for the watch.
A few years ago they might have had the deployant/butterfly clasp you saw in the manual. The manual just needs to be updated.
There are two types of buckles on CW watches of late, a sport or a dress type.
The dress type is correct for your watch.
Regarding the chronograph question, that is exactly the way it's supposed to work so no worries there.

What actually is the difference (I've always wondered)?MiniMpi wrote:There are two types of buckles on CW watches of late, a sport or a dress type.

I would have thought the C7 being part of the Motorsport collection it would/should have the sports clasp?

Re: Question on C7 Rapide chronograph MK2-V390
I actually think the sport clasp should be on all the C7's as it would suit it better but there you go.
The sport clasp is like the one that used be on the C11's.

Re: Question on C7 Rapide chronograph MK2-V390
Just checked my C11 and C7 rubber straps. They are basically the same except the C11 is titanium (colour, not material I believe) whereas the C7 is polished.
All my leather straps (2 x C3 MkI, C60 MkI and C7 MkI) have the butterfly deployment, so the C7 did indeed used to come with it.

#RedTele - your question about strap and buckle seems to have been answered, although I might add that the 'butterfly' deployment is no longer used having been superceded by the Bader deployment buckle.
Regarding the Chronograph function. The movement as you have described it is, as far as I know, correct.
Enjoy your C7 and welcome to the forum.
