New C60 Clasp - How to buy?

Post by lerico »

I just saw the photo of the new C60 Clasp on the website, haven't seen much discussion about it yet. Did I missed it somehow?

Does the front of the clasp looks the same? Do they sell it separately so I can upgrade mine?

I know there has been a lot of discussion about the new clasp but I haven't seen any announcement either.

I am sure Kip mentioned that the clasp was going to be made available to replace current one.

Hopefully Kip will have seen examples of the clasp and let us know.

Oooh, the clasp........

Why not just start a logo debate. :) ;)

We wanted a clasp...

We were promised a clasp...

We were then given a new entire model without the clasp...

We asked again about the clasp...

Were were again promised the clasp...

The clasp is still not here...

Maybe we are waiting for CW to merge with a clasp manufacturer!

(Potentially I am being a touch harsh, but it is truly ridiculous that they cannot get a glidelock ish clasp developed after five years)

I for one would rather they got their existing stuff correct before chucking out the new stuff.

They need the entire package to be complete if they want to compete with the big boys, but they resolutely refuse to do so for some reason.

I know of several people (including myself) who would have bought the new trident, but have now spent the money elsewhere because of the outdated clasp.

(I would also have bought the GMT were it not for the stupid **** GMT bezel)

The few grand that we would have spent and has now gone to other manufacturers is obviously not worth the development cost)

Ah well. We live in hope.

Despite the talk/rumors of new bracelets/clasps, this is the first I have seen of this. It certainly doesn't look like the images we have been shown in the past. I am suspecting that this may be an interim improvement and will be a running change. I would not think that there would be any major changes to the visible side.

That said, I will see what I can find out.

As to availability separately, I would think that they would not be available separately for awhile until production is ramped up. Wera may have the answer on that.

It looks remarkably like a glidelock from the underneath, so I would assume that there would have to be a lock or something similar on the other side to lock it into position.

Fingers crossed that this is it!!!!

that's interesting that the picture is now of what appears to be a glidelock in that image, but not in the other image (admittedly blurry in the open position behind the watch head) or in the description of the bracelet.
the "g" is for Greg...

The Moonphase appears to have a different clasp again. Looks like a butterfly clasp.

The C9 bracelet uses the same type fold over clasp...not a butterfly type.

The photo shows a different clasp, yes - one with no micro adjustment, but it's a deployant like the rest, not a butterfly.
