Don't forget the thickness, it enormous.gwells wrote:i just can't get over the crown guards. and the 47mm. and when you combine the two.
Of course, its all relative.
I conclude that the best Panerai for someone wanting a regular sized watch is the PAM 512 that gaf1958 bought.
I've even tried this one on myself.
As compared to a 44mm PAM 005.
Can't imagine the 47mm on me. But I like the painted dial more than the sandwich and I like the logo as its also my initials and dislike the screwdown crown on the 512.
This is a 44mm - isn't this too big already?

A quick visit to local AD; just for a test drive. I am really warming to Blackbays
Forgot to mention that there were three BBs on a shelf (2 x red, 1 blue). Bezel was slightly off-centered on all of them. Not much, but still off.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
I was at the right store for this yesterday and thought about giving them a try because of the blacker bay, it's design gels so much better than previous bays (the crown tube ring is a bit more discreet so less jarring than previously but can I get over my other 'bay' design issues? If I did the smp would be on the block but I have a feeling I would baby the BBBK more and thus wear it less. I will wait till the black comes out to try the bay on again.Korkki wrote:A quick visit to local AD; just for a test drive. I am really warming to Blackbays

Some Beautiful photo's of the new Black Bay Black in this review from Bulang & Sons. If this doesn't want to make you buy one nothing will. https://bulangandsons.com/tudor-heritag ... ck-79220n/
Some nice comparison shots with some Classic Vintage Subs. The Black Bay Black really does hold it's own against them.
I also have a craving for one of these at the moment. I saw one at the dealer where I got my BBR and it looks great in the on the strap not so much on the bracelet.

After watching a comparison video between the BBR and SMPC I have gone off the (very fleeting) idea of getting a Black bay.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Quite fancy something different from a long standing, but small volume manufacturer.
This for a smart, business suitable look
or perhaps this for an outdoor tool look
An interesting technical feature is that, whilst they are substantial in size at 44mm, both have flexible lugs so the watch wraps around the wrist nicely.

Love these! The first in particular. When I eventually get down to Page and Cooper, this is definitely on my view list.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:Quite fancy something different from a long standing, but small volume manufacturer.

Aside from an exciting incoming or currently owned watches (which I still daydream about or I'd get rid!), I've been thinking about this one lately:
They're pretty rare so hard to say if it's on my horizon, but I'd quite like it to be!

Don Kylne: An affordable "engraved" cushion case, miyota automatic movement, 40.5mm x 13mm, $299...
I think I'll get one... after all, I haven't bought a watch in over 6 months!

No pictures but dreaming about both a blue snow flake hand vintage sub (found on watcher on) and a white faced Bell and Ross by Sinn Demineur that's currently listed on eBay.

I loved that, Kip. The pics would certainly add to the thread.Kip wrote:A love letter to DeBethune.
