Recently, there was a 358 Jubilaum up for sale on another forum - for a bargain price, and I seriously considered buying it, but concluded it was far too similar to my Bremont. In the end, I prefer the Bremont, so it's all good. As for that Orange PO, I think we both got it wrong!Ceegee wrote:Some fantastic watches have passed through your mitts but the one I never understood you selling was the Sinn 358 Jubilaum. When it went up for sale I seriously considered buyering but decided not to as it is too similar to my B&R 126.
It's a lovely watch but then we all sometimes sell something we regret. Like an orange bezel PO

Not a bad list this time over. Just the necessary CW sales. Been meaning to update my list for a while but just can't be bothered.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Richard, it is extremely interesting to see the similarity of many of the new to many of the flipped albeit with subtle differences. A fascinating journey indeed.
I know that some are due to the shrinking wrists, but discounting those...... for the others, do you think that you made bad choices, or that your tastes have changed?

Most people would be over the moon with your selection of flipped watches.
Mind you your current selection is rather spectacular as well, you have good taste and your reasons for flipping are well thought out.

Wow, that's quite some flipping!
Of the entire collection, I think that 358 Jubilaum was the nicest though your Bremont more than makes up for it. A white faced Damasko and/or a Bremont Solo are still on my wishlist - I'm still a bit gutted I missed your Solo sale

Re: The dearly departed (ex-watches) - Round 2
I think it's a bit of all of the above. Tastes evolve, size preferences change, one or two sub-optimal choices, an urge to 'improve' the overall quality of the collection - and (the curse of all flippers) - the constant desire for a new toy.smegwina wrote:Richard, it is extremely interesting to see the similarity of many of the new to many of the flipped albeit with subtle differences. The next watch will be the one. If I just get this one, I can probably sell all the others and I will still be happy forever.downer wrote:...and (the curse of all flippers) - the constant desire for a new toy.

Some great watches moved on. Interesting to hear you didn't get on with the twin crowns on the MBII, as its one of the features I really like.
Watches I have flipped so far - Zero.

Of those you've flipped, Richard, the Bremont MBII is the one I'd love to own.nbg wrote:Some great watches moved on. Interesting to hear you didn't get on with the twin crowns on the MBII, as its one of the features I really like.
