Just bought - 1 of my top 3

Post by Seraphial »

Guys, know I'm new here but thought I'd share my latest purchase (until about 2 weeks time, when my new green Slimline arrives from the factory!). I couldn't help myself when I saw this at the E&J sale; it's been on my most coveted list for a while. Quite chuffed as got it for under £1k as well

Maurice Lacroix doesn't get a lot of love on other forums (maybe just that its not a Rolex or Omega and relatively new-ish in comparison). But I've always bought watches for the look and quality, rather than heritage or resale. Hope you like it!

That's quite nice actually. I like the two levels on the lugs, it's quite like the CW Malverns. I also like the little touch with the twisted crown...

Many of the "newer" brands are dismissed on forums just as many are embraced (but seemingly only if they're a micro or boutique brand). The funny snobbery that some have is ... well interesting. I've looked at ML a few times and some of these were near purchases, but none yet. Maybe one day...

Very nicely done. I like the stepped dial and the features around the day and date windows. 40mm too.

At the right price, an ML is a great buy. At list price, they (like a lot of other high street brands) can be a problem if you want to re-sell.

Congrats!

A brand that I know nothing about.

Apparently they have 12 in-house developed movements.

Your watch has a good look about it. Congratulations on your purchase.

Congrats on a fine watch. I had the grande date gmt for a short while. As with most timepieces they are much better looking in the flesh.
