Tube and train into "The Smoke" are definitely the best hunting ground for CW (and any other watch) spotting. You don't get any points for a Rolex though! Common as!
So I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.

none wearing one, but I was at a wedding in the Summer and caught a chap staring at my wrist, I said to him "do you think this is an Omega or something" and he assumed it was, I did let him in on it in the end! I'd like to think he bought one too.

I've never seen anyone wearing a CW in the US. Then again, not that many people wear watches and most just use their phone. What I can say is I think my CW watches would only make me appear better to strangers as they are great and classy watches.

So CW is a downmarket tradesman's brand then? :?
Probably fell off the back of a lorry down the local pub :D

...I guess I'll know if CWL has hit the big league when I can get knock-off fakes from Turkey, Singapore, etc.

On topic not seen any strangers around here with CWL watch. My friend's wife has one. I think he may be interested in the C60 Mk2 but he's a Tag man. Will try and twist his arm when we meet up end of May. If there's a new magazine I'll take it along as ammunition.

Oh, and my wife and daughter, but they're not really strangers. My son doesn't wear a watch, uses iPhone. He's always late for stuff, go figure :?

One of the guys who sometimes serves me at the local bike shop wears an IWC - and no, he's not the owner either!

But then the bike shop is in Barkham.

Face to face, I've never seen anyone wearing a CW.

But maybe that's because I live in a remote part of the world, and also maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

I have not come across a stranger as yet wearing a CW, but came across CW through a colleague wearing one, and then found out another colleague had one as well. I tend to look at other peoples watches a lot more these days.

No, no, no - that's cheating, that doesn't count!

Unless of course you class your Mrs as a 'stranger'. 8)

Lol it is but like your good self I live at the back end of the known world and the farmers here abouts are too interested in cows to bother about watches.
