that's how most of my recipes end up over time. :)

i may have to experiment. maybe i'll even try being crazy and doing in in my new fancy multi-cooker (pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker all in one).

Sausage casserole. It'll be tasty as I haven't had to cook it for myself! Just have to finish it before 7 so I don't have to watch the blasted One Show haha!

Smeggers approves!

I certainly approve of the cheese selection. I am most intrigued by the crusted cheddar.

I love a good Beef Wellington (but am trying to cut down a bit on red meat :( ) However on Shrove Tuesday I have special dispensation. The perfect use for excess pancakes is to use them in a Wellington!

A proper cheddar with a rind, coming from the area, not smarket faeces. I prefer the flavour of Westcombe to that of Montgomery. It is REALLY nice!

Sake and Sushi. Actually it was the first time I ever tried Sake. There were three kinds - I liked the Rock one.

Grandkids staying the night; had them all day too. Great kids and love them to bits, but they go at 100mph all day. They're now being read a bedtime story by their nana; just had a quick Corona and some olives and chorizo. Pizza in the oven, will be consumed with a 2007 Gran Reserva.

Toad in the hole with some roast veg. Nothing extravagant today, but yummy just the same.
