Like the above, I've long regretted selling my Magrette MPP All Black, so Dion is currently shipping me a new one from the 5 remaining in stock!

My eyes on a few "oddity",
i) from the Chinese brand, "Shanghai". Engraving of famous city landscapes (in Shanghai) or mountain ranges in China:
ii) a white/silver dial dress watch in golden case (something like the C5, Longines Conquest or FC)

Have never owned a gold watch before but good choices Aifo...for me it would have to be something truely quirky that would come out once in a blue moon,
This Ernest Borel Kaleidoscope (with mesmeric moving inner dial and mystery hands) would add something unique to the collection (and I know where to find two just like it)
Also recently seen the new Breitling Colt 36 which might be the best colt release for like five years;

These two would do nicely for 2016.

My fascination with a mysterious blue dial watch isn't ending anytime soon.

Not in a million years would i be able to buy one but the design has no definitely grown on me.
Shame that AP seems to be the go to watch for the "more money than sense" celebrities and such.

Why's that a shame?

I have been dreaming about the Nomos Atlantik datum:
Until I tried one on this morning. It didn't fit my wrist at all - with a flat bottomed case and the long lugs it looked ridiculous and felt even worse. Oh, and the strap was a minger. Definitely off the list.

Nomos should have just took my advice and stuck that dial in a club case and uprated the WR but they never listen to me it wears bad on me also.

Your advice is good advice. The Club case is a winner - and probably the only Nomos I'd want to wear.Dancematt wrote:Nomos should have just took my advice and stuck that dial in a club case and uprated the WR but they never listen to me it wears bad on me also.

Someone I work with has one of the early models - from the mid seventies, 39mm case, slim, a fantastic looking watch, a world apart from the RO Offshore bling versions.watchstudent wrote:Not in a million years would i be able to buy one but the design has no definitely grown on me.

Devalues my perception of the brand. They make some beautiful looking watches but the diamond encrusted horrors that people like Floyd "money" Mayweather and the like wear are horrible. I don't have to like everything a brand makes but just seems a shame to be that such a brand with all the expertise make the aforementioned monstrosities.Dancematt wrote:Why's that a shame?

Ah okay but I read it to mean celebrities like Stephen Fry, Prof Brian Cox and Brian May.watchstudent wrote:Devalues my perception of the brand.
