Ridiculously cheap Wednesday night takeaway special from the Indian in the village. Poppadom, three hefty onion bhajis with mint raita, chicken tikka masala, Bombay aloo, and pilau rice. Massive portions, so plenty left over for lunch tomorrow. £7.95 the lot!

Brilliant: for me, lunch was a supermarket's finest chicken tikka masala, via the microwave oven. Not the best, but it answered the urge while not making me stand!
Sadly no lager to assist digestion.
I am tasked to make something with salmon today. Any suggestions? Normally I just put salmon filets with some vegetables in aluminium foil and put it in the oven. Then cook some potatoes on the side. Its a bit boring though, so I want to try something else.
Or on a bed of sliced fennel, with diced vegetables, chilli butter (I make my own) and halved new potatoes and a squeeze of lemon juice .....oh, and half-a-glass of white all en papillotte. Give the 'tent' lots of volume.
Gas 4 for about 25 minutes.
Consume the rest of the white in that 25 mins,
Open a new bottle for supper.........

Hmm, that sounds really nice. Might try to do something similar!
A midweek snack....
Roast chicken with crisp Parma ham, sage, onion and forcemeat stuffing
Pigs in blankets
Roast and (really) creamed potatoes
Baby carrots
Broccoli
Cabbage
