New shark mesh for LLD

Post by stefs »

As you may have noticed since I picked up my legend diver I have tried a ton of different strap options. The standard strap is absolutely fine and what I have always come back to. However I wanted another smart option that still goes and ideally likes the water as well. The standard one stays wet for quite a while and the rubber ones are not totally the look I am after although the tropik one was pretty good.
Anyway following recommendations from here I ordered a shark mesh from good cheap man which arrived yesterday. Very comfy for sure.
Thoughts folks?

I prefer the leather look on the LLD. Nothing else just looks right to me.

I like shark mesh (have not seen that particular clasp before from GCM) and think that they look good on divers but somehow it does not seem right on that watch. Although it is not bad - just not right. I think it is due to it having an internal bezel rather than external which gives divers their chunky looks.

I think it looks quite fine actually. I'm pleased with the look of the clasp in particular.

Where's it from if I may....?

I like the mesh and the watch but there is something not quite right with the slenderness of the lugs and the chunkiness of the mesh. I lost the fear of the space between the end of the mesh and the watch case ages ago, having tried a Breitling Super Ocean Heritage on but that piece benefits from more robust looking lugs.

Ok, I'm probably in the minority, but I quite like the band with that watch. But I would have to agree with the others IF the watch bezel was another color, like PVD black. SS Bezel + SS band = pretty nice. SS band + my Paderborn = not so much

I'm not a fan of shark mesh to be honest...but a LLD just looks great no matter what's keeping it on your wrist 8)

Not quite refined enough to match well with the LLD. IMO of course

Having worn it all day I agree with the majority that although it really isnt bad at all it's just not quite right!
The legend is now back on its original strap where it is going to stay and I have whacked the mesh on my c11

Now that looks better even if it isn't a diver. I have a smaller gauge mesh on my C11 but was never quite 100% with it. I might have to try a shark mesh now.
