changes to the aqua terra

Post by gwells »

Image

date window border is gone (-)
extra lume on minute hand (+)
added the word "master" in front of coaxial (meh, but not negative)
new antimagnetic movement (+)
polished center links (like the 300) (-)

i think i'm glad i got one when i did. i like the date window border the way it's implemented on the previous version (my version). it works really well with the indices. i might not mind this if i hadn't seen it with the border, but since i have, i know that's better. the minute hand lume is good, but polished center links is not.
the "g" is for Greg...

I agree with you Greg, the lack of a date window border is a minus for me :(

Polished center links are taking over the freakin world man!
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Yep. Happy with my version, and I agree with your assessment of the pros and cons.

Sometimes progress is not as good as it would appear. To me the revised date window leaves the dial looking lopsided. :problem:

Happy with mine too. The polished centre links on what is a sports watch would drive me nuts. Also prefer the date window on mine.

Would agree with everything you've said there Greg, will be looking for a previous version with the date window surround and just try to avoid magnets!

Pretty sure the face is black, but looks petrol blue in the pic, which I quite like.

Otherwise agree with your comments Greg.

It's definitely the blue one in the pic above.

Well, in the other hand, the old (better) version will have their price lowered... :?
