Re: Laco Atacama - Review
It's bit to clumpy for me but for those who want a lume I guess it's a dream.

Re: Laco Atacama - Review
I agree Richard , if they did this in a 42mm version it would be more to my liking . Great looking watch though, nicely
priced for a German made mechanical watch IMO.
Great watch for them that like them big!

Re: Laco Atacama - Review
It is nice but far too enormous. Pity because it is unnecessarily beefed up and it detracts from what would bew avery wearable piece. Thanks for the link. LD

Re: Laco Atacama - Review
It is an interesting watch, but unnecessarily large. The chapter ring is simply too wide and separates the bezel from the hands by too greater distance.
I do like the idea of a bowl-like case though which would aid wearability and I do like the toolish military look, but unless it is worn outside a diving / tank suit, I can't see it being a practical watch for the military.
The issue with the difficult to get at crown is less of an issue if the watch is worn constantly (which if it is intended for the military, it would be), but I can see the concern for multi-watch collectors.
It is good to see Laco trying something different though

Re: Laco Atacama - Review
I've been looking at another 46mm watch (ie. Maratac), but this Laco seems huge in comparison. And I didn't notice this until I read that review, but now that font mismatch is also a "huge" issue, along with the "5" on the rotating bezel looking like another "15".
You would think that at this price point, the design would have been better thought out.
