I like that Piers is going for it but I feel it doesn't really offer all that much and looks pretty bland to me.
I am struggling to understand his USP, whereas Bremont and Schofield have clear value propositions and have better arguments to justify their pricing.

Re: The Pinion Axis A New Watch From The UK
Interesting to read the comments posted under the article on Hodinkee, as well at those here.
It's great to see another British maker releasing a very interesting new watch model, but if I were a teacher marking it with a red pen, then it would have the comment "must try harder" against it.
The £1400 price point is very competitive now, and as one comment said: "I expected Christopher Ward pricing for this model".
It's a nice enough watch, and I really like the case design. But, and this is a huge but, the face is flat and boring. Without applied markers, this watch belongs way down the sub-£500 category.
I really regret being negative about it, but there's no way I could spend £1400 on that watch.

So I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.

At the risk of repeating what everyone else has said ....
Ok / quite nice watch, but dramatically over-priced.
Carl at GasGasBones has just produced a Valjoux 7750 limited edition (which looks nicer) for quite a chunk less.

Is this guy still the Administrator on the Bremont Forum? Seems odd to set up a rival business in direct competition with a company that you are championing.
Sorry to say this about a new British company but I think the watch is a dull as ditchwater.

NIce looking watch and I wish them luck, but I am not seeing anything special here for the money.

Can't see what it's bringing to the table that's not already there; and at the price is prohibitive.
