Not "still nice" :) This "pilot" going better with every scratch on it, with every dent on a strap. Classy retro style! It looks better when it's look as real old watch
Watch out :)

What strap do you have on that, Ian? Very nice.

Looks almost like my Nomos shell cordovan strap.

And that was a picture that kinda hid the scratches. Although in real life it does not look that bad but in close up photos with the light it makes it look worse. Like this one.

I keep on thinking I should really get it re-brushed or maybe even polished like the C5A cream which I quite like now.

It is a leather strap from eBay seller MyThaiCraft. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/My-Thai-Craft?_rdc=1

Quite thick (3mm) and chunky and because it is 18mm to 18mm it does not look so dressy. And very good price considering it is a nice piece of leather. The deployment is from eBay sell GoodCheapMan although I keep on saying I should change it for a CWL one.

Fear not stefs, downer, v8power et al; I have leather straps and a lovely Staib small link bracelet for my C9. Its just that I prefer NATOs in warmer weather.

There are watches which suit a NATO. The C9 chrono is not one of them.
