Agree.
When I first became a member I thought it would take some time to achieve the thirty postings, but having an interest in the forum and the members it took no time at all to obtain the qualification of the thirty postings required.

It can only be good for the members of the forum to know that someone who is advertising a watch for sale at least has to comply with certain rules and at least we know that the watch seller has been on our forum site at least thirty times, it will I feel offer some protection to us the buyers.

I think the 30 post rule is an exxcellent Idea!

It gives me chance to save up before I start buying!

no point being able to see it - all that would happen is that people would register - not get involved - start sending PMs to members selling items / etc. - would get very 'subersive' and messy!

the simple fact is that the sales section is a benefit for those who wish to be members of the community - it doesn't take very long to post 30 posts if someone is involved... works for all... for those who don't wish to be involved, simply wanting to make sales is not the idea, so they don't get access...

As a relative newbie, seems reasonable to me. When you don't have an eBay-like reputation system to fall back on, showing that someone is at least minimally involved is a reasonable assurance.

For somewhere like tz-uk where you need 250 posts and 180 days I can understand allowing 'read-only' rights. but for here where the limit is only 30 posts I don't think there is any need for it.

Hi,

Slightly surprised that I can't even browse the watches for sale, not arguing about it, just surprised. I totally get that I wouldn't be able to sell without posting 30 messages, but it would be nice to see the 2nd hand watches that are for sale. To be clear I'm considering the purchase of a second CW watch - I have a C5 Malvern Aviator Mk II which I love - I'm not looking to sell.
