"Our competitors spend millions in the creation of “brand halos” around their watches through multi-national advertising campaigns, high profile sponsorships and celebrity endorsements. Marketing is, of course, an important part of any business but when the cost of marketing runs to many times the cost of the product, as is often the case in the luxury watch industry, it seemed to us, to quote the bard, that “something is rotten in the state of Denmark.”"

Why don't we compare the prices and value for money of the Ltd to 50 Scooter, to this ltd to as amany as they can sell Bluebird?
I'm sorry it's not like me to be so grouchy but I really do think this is a lot of dosh
Am I the only person who thinks the new hands derived from the C700 are not as good as those on the old C7Mk 1 and C70? I really like the way I can tell the time on my Ad Astra C70 at night. I never take my watch off so being able to tell the time in pitch black is helpful. The new hands have such a small area for the lume that I can't see it being particularly effective.
I would buy an Automatic version of this Bluebird if one were produced.
There's a very nice full page advert for the Bluebird in this month's EVO, adjacent to the Letters page. Colour seems to be darker than the pics in the CWL magazine of a couple of months ago, somewhere between scooter blue and blue blue on the C60.
It looks rather smart IMHO.

I am sure some motoring enthusiasts will love this watch but watch lovers need to appreciate they are paying a premium of around £200 to cover advertising, promotion and spoonsorship costs.
