Ok. I admit a slight cheat as I bought this and tried it on and have decided to return for a refund as there are a few cosmetic marks on it that I am unhappy with. Struggling to let go of the watch though.

I also cheated, this baby has been on my wrist for barely 10 minutes before returning to my colleague (lucky ****)

I liked the slate blue of the Maurice Lacroix and it was WELL reduced. I have another one on leather ordered to see if it is to my liking. This one had a ding on the side of the case and one of the hour batons didn't look quite right under loupe magnification. (I have never spent this amount of money on a watch so I was being really picky!)

Lum-Tec M42 Phantom (ETA 2824-2), on a 1950 Brown DStrap (strap arrived today)
I think a really nice combination. Better then the standard Black strap, that comes with it.
But I better be .. for that kind of money

Re: Non CW of the Day
This came in the post today so has been on my wrist all evening:
I'm quite smitten with it, although it does seem to be gaining about 5 secs an hour not quite COCS spec, but then it is over 40 years old
