Visiting Zodiac Chronograph

Post by Mr Rick »

Visiting casa de Rick this week, on it's way to the continent, is this vintage Zodiac chronograph.

Sadly named by some the 'Poor Man's Heuer', this Zodiac Ref. 73463 chronograph was, I believe, built in the Heuer factory, under contract to Zodiac. In fact, this watch has gained a Heuer signed crown somewhere in it's travels. Other then the crown, it appears to be in relatively original condition.

It is powered by a Valjoux 7334.

A bit more information on 'Poor Man's Heuers' here:

Definitely a shame to call them Poor Man's Heuers...is this on it's way to be spa'd?

Mine rates as one of my favourite watches that i have owned.

Nice watch.........although it amazes me at some of the prices charged for very similar 7734 movement watches with a 'brand name' on it!!!

Yours appears in better shape then the one I just received.

It's headed to my Heuer friends who probably have NOS parts waiting. It will stay with them. :)
