Buying back
Buying back
Is it just me, or does anyone else have a tendency to sell a watch - only to buy it back again a few months later?
A few months ago I sold these 2:
... only to buy them back again recently.
I also sold an Oris chrono that I loved:
... which arrived back with me this weekend.
So: anyone else afflicted with this?

Re: Buying back
I have only sold a C3 and a.DBR1 and wouldn't buy back either. Don't get me wrong, they were nice but not nice enough to want to get them back after selling.

Re: Buying back
Did you mean buying back from the buyers you sold to, or the same watches from different sellers? Which makes you either an incredibly good seller or a loyal collector of your desired models. Well it seems obvious to me why you need them back as all three are similarly classic aviators peerless in terms of quality and style. I find the Oris particularly attractive. Nice work buying back imo.

Re: Buying back
I've bought and sold 2x C5 Aviators and i'm about to buy a Malvern to replace the one i sold a while ago.
I sold a Ball Moonphase to a friend of mine in a moment of madness and i'll buy that back from him when he decides to let me
Other than that,no,although if i somehow got the chance to get my hands back on an IWC electronic i sold to a bloke in Greece i would be quite happy.
Oh...and i sold a Steinhart Nav II B and intend to replace it,but technically it's a different watch 'casue i sold the black version and want the s/steel version
Bloody stupid hobby.

Re: Buying back
I see myself in that last approach...
I spent time taking pictures (badly) at the weekend intending to post them up as others have done SOTC and got a bit of a shock...

Re: Buying back
It's a well known problem called "Seller's Remorse".
It can be avoided by buying but never selling

Re: Buying back
Sold a C8, and several cheapies...no remorse.
Sold a DBR1 (slight remorse every time I see one in SC, but not enough to buy it)

Re: Buying back
I have never sold a watch, did give a couple of cheapies to the local charity shop though.
Re: Buying back
I'm also in the "if i sell it it's because there is something niggling that I don't 100$ like category"...if I love the watch it will not leave the collection.
I'm hoping Footcrazy decides to move on something so I can pounce on his Blue FLE C60!!! (subliminal sales prompting here.....
