creation watches

Post by twistedlemons »

Hi all,
I wanted to mention of the trouble I have recently had with creation watches,it all started well with a purchase of a seiko SKX007 divers watch, in 2010 I choose creation as it offered a free two year guarantee, and the price was good too. After 13 months the watch started to have a serious breakdown.
So I contacted them and thats when it all started
I was told leave it on its face for 24hours-leave it on its side for 24hours-leave it on its side for 24hours but to no avail. So I contacted them and told them it had no affect,so they told me to send it back to them.I did this at the end of November 2011 and after some heated E-mails I have finally been told they now have my watch back as they farm all of the work out to a third party company.
So maybe it may be worth looking closer to home

I am not defending...only stating....6-8 weeks is not abnormal for service turnaround. Throw in the holidays and it just got longer. Of course the status also depends on what they estimated for a time frame.

This is what makes the CW360 program so good! 8)

I do understand turn around times, but was a little uneasy with some of their E-mails being a bit wooly.

I have had had Creation Watches in my bookmarks for a long time, entitled "Creation Watches - do not use".
I have never used them, so I have no horror story to tell but have read enough moans on Fora to stay away. To be fair, every moan had a number of responses from other people who were delighted, but it seemed to me that their name was coming up a bit to often.
I hope your situation gets sorted out twistedlemons.

I've read some pretty bad things about them. Never bought from them but I read they can get real nasty when you question them about a problem.

I'd never buy from them. To many other places you can go.

I await you update on this with some interest, I've never used Creation Watches, but they have some tempting prices for the Seiko range of divers which are my current "minor" obsession & I have seriously considered pressing the "Order Now" button for an SKX007.... :? .

Has anybody here used 21 Jewels.com as their prices seem very competitive at the moment?

Ian.

Ian, I'd suggest you start a new thread with " 21 Jewels.com" in the title.

Thanks for the warning about your experience - I had been thinking about buying the same watch from them for a while, so would be interested in anyone else's tales, good or bad.

Hope this one works out OK for you
