C8 Strap question

Post by bwarrr »

Hi, New to the CW world!! Just ordered a new C8 Pilot....was thinking about ordering a C11 brown strap to go along with the black (with rivets) strap that the watch came with...anyone have this strap on the C8? Does the strap work well with this watch??
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure that currently you can order the C11 strap separately. I don't own one, but the strap looks to be straight 22mm (ie it is 22mm at both lug and buckle) and so wouldn't fit the C8 deployant.

C8 Strap question

Post by ABW »

Hi, I did things the other way round and put a C8 strap on a C11. There's some photos in the gallery section (sorry haven't worked out how to paste links yet).

They both have 22mm lugs thinning to 20mm at the buckle/deployment. The C11 strap has a buckle with two screw heads to match to the C11 casing and rectangular holes, which are quite big, in the strap so there's a question of mismatched styling to be answered there as well. Because of the rectangular holes I don't think the deployment would move across to the brown C11 strap.

It definitely seems like the C11 strap is available for separate purchase. Interesting thought about the style difference on the C11 buckle. I was thinking about using the strap as-is and not using the deployant...wonder if the screws on the buckle would look out of place on the C8! Guess I'm going to have to wait and wear the watch for a few days before buying the strap!!

The C11 straps are available seperately here.

The 20mm deployant from the C8 straps work just fine on the C11 strap. I converted mine almost immediately as I prefer the deployant.

As for how it coordinates...I shall leave that for you to decide. :)
