My family has gone through a torrid year with many new arrivals and departures.

Just today my Glycine Lagunare declared its leaving home Monday for a new life in France. My new C6 arrived with a badly alligned bezel, so is being evicted until it sorts itself out and returns home in a week or two.

Which leaves the 4 B's:

Downer and Redd: lovely, thanks for showing. You do seem to lack some vintage beauties though...

I have not done a whole end of 2011 collection as that is too big. As I wanted to reduce my collection I sold a number of watches in 2001 but made purchases as well. Some were bought and sold or returned. In the end I ended up with 10 additions. So here is what is new from 2011 that I still have in 2012.

Image

Image

6 CWLs
Image
C5 Quartz, C2 Lido (it was on sale at a silly price :D ), C5 BoB, C9 FLE 2011, C60 Kingfisher Yellow and C60 Trident Black Auto.

Image

Image
It is hard to believe these watches have the same case and movement. They look totally different.

4 Non CWLs
Image

Breitling Seawolf Avenger (Ti with blue dial) and a Breitling Aerospace (Ti with blue dial aslo)
Image

Omega SeaMaster Aqua Terra (2517.50.00) and Omega SeaMaster Professional 300 (2254.50.00)
Image

And 4 of the 10 are quartz.  Still look good though. :D

I wanted to save this until the end of the January transfer window, because...

IN: C5, Tangente, Orange Monster
OUT: a few quartz pieces that were in very little danger of being worn again.

So, first the "Scholarship Set"

Image

Nomos Tangente; Seamaster Polaris Multifunction; vintage Omega manual wind; C5GWT. The favourites, obviously! :D

Next, the "Wee Tickers"

Image

Yema; Enicar Ultrasonic; Enicar Ocean Pearl; Favre-Leuba Sea-King; Oris. All bought last Autumn for £30-40 each, except the Ocean Pearl (birthday present). I think that is one of the nicest looking watches I have. The Oris is easily the best timekeeper of the 5. They get wound every weekend, and all get the occasional day at work.

Then we have the "Casual Club"

Image

Casio Illuminator; Orange Monster; C8MkI; DBR1. The Casio walked across Spain with me last year, and has nothing to prove. It will never be moved on! :respect: The others have quite enough to say for themselves!

Group Hug:

I was about to say that the collection is stabilised for now, but I just counted them...I can't have thirteen watches! :scared: Yellow Mako, then?

Rather that do a sotc for the year I have been tediously entering the details of each watch I own into a collection software program I actually picked up a year or so ago and am finally getting around to using it.

I have finally completed the entries and am now working on the appropriate photos. It will allow me to have a very complete listing, with photos, of my entire collection. This shall prove invaluable for insurance purposes as well as identifying the collection for others when necessary.

I confess that I am very surprised as to how much I have invested and what the replacement costs add up to.

Tedious though it may be, I am finding it quite satisfying to be able to view all the facts of my collection in catalog form. 8)

Strange, can't open site. At least with Safari. I can get to www.alaska.net/~watch/ but just stall out when I click products. Ah well, looks as though it's for Windows only anyway...

It is some times slow to open ET.

I do believe it is for windows only. Not sure if he has other versions.
