They had most of the range available, old PO's, a couple of different Speedy's, Seamaster Pro (old and new), and several others.

Looks like you've had a good start to the year
If you can read this you are too close to your computer screen....

Yep. An indecent start. That's it now until the summer at least (apart from the FLE).village wrote:Looks like you've had a good start to the year

A great morning.
A very nice pick up Mr D.
As you know I have the grey dialled version and these watches are the best looking Dressy Omegas IMHO.
Seems like Omega's wish to move upmarket is having a bad effect on their current prices seeing as there have been a high number of them in the Sales at 30-40% off. However once they have all their boutiques and limited AD in place, Rolex pricing and no discounting will be the order of the day. Therefore pick up a piece now if you can and so don't feel guilty as you have made a good investment!!!!!

While a bracelet with half-links is certainly nice, I wouldn't call it a grail!downer wrote:
Nice pickup Downer. A very classy watch at a fair price indeed.

Chaps, thanks for all the nice comments.
What I love about these watches is the intricate details. Somehow, Omega manage to put detail into their dials, and still achieve great clarity and subtlety.
Here's a couple of examples...
I love the way the "seamaster" logo is formed as part of the dial, rather than simply stuck on the top of it. At the same time, the "Omega" logo is clearly "applied", making a nicely differentiated texture.
Then there is the actual markers. The multi-faceted, highly polished surfaces are (to me at least), just lovely.
I'm a sucker for all that, and I guess that's why they can charge such extortionate prices.
Finally, here's a picture with cousin PO. Similar, but very different.

Lovely, it oozes quality....... & well worth the couple of grand. And for me you hit the nail on the head where CW need to be heading.. The JH has the CW literally stuck on the dial & many members have commented how this cheapens the watch. The way Seamaster is on the dial shows how attention to detail makes watches like this on a wish list.... Id rather pay more for a quality item with no flaws.

You would have to go to the Boys' Room on TZ to see a better pair than that!

Re: A great morning.
Me too. I have to be honest and say that I am still considering returning my C90 Power Reserve, for exactly that reason. I like the design of the C90 and generally speaking it is a great watch. There are a couple of irritations though... Firstly, the date window, which is just that little bit small. Probably not a deal breaker, but a bit annoying nonetheless. However, the one thing that is bugging me on my example is the 12 marker. Put simply, it is just not straight and it should be better for the money.mabotham wrote:Lovely, it oozes quality....... & well worth the couple of grand. Every time I look at the watch, I see this detail.
