My (Nearly) New C5 GWT!!
This morning was agony! The postman never comes down our road before 11 am...but eventually he did!
And look what he brought...
The 25-jewel marking on the case indicates an ETA movement, I believe...some perlage on the bridge and Geneva stripes and cutouts on the rotor...pretty, eh?
Others have remarked on the champagne colour of the dial, and the way it catches the light. Looks gorgeous in winter sunlight today, even if I say so myself!
As far as I can see it is flawless, perfect size for me, and feels fantastic. Enough said. I'm gobsmacked!

Well I am fond of a gold watch every now and then and that looks like a classic.
Not necessarily. All case backs say 25 jewels regardless. The only way to tell is to look at the markings next to the mainspring with a loupe unless you have excellent eyesight.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote:The 25-jewel marking on the case indicates an ETA movement, I believe

Looks great! Congratulations! Interesting to see that your caseback has all the expected text. Mine did not!

Re: My (Nearly) New C5 GWT!!
Kind comments as ever, gents - much appreciated!
I was slightly concerned that the case and dial looked much paler on the website photos, but the colours are much richer in real life. Also, it looks and feels much more substantial than you would think, taller than the vintages, and I think the relatively narrow strap makes it look wider.
Sorry, Mortis, reckon it's a keeper!

Re: My (Nearly) New C5 GWT!!
Thanks, Andrew - there's never a "right" answer concerning tastes...good job too! One of the great things about this forum is discovering what other people like (and know!) and learning to appreciate them and the advice and help they give. I've had to remind myself of that a few times!
Anyway, one more post to go before I reveal the answer to my question!

Looks very nice, especially the decorated movement.

Nice piece, although not for me on grounds of size and the gold, but is classy and you have got the pics up sharpish (i feel tardy in extreme)!
