C60 Trident GMT
This is my first step into Forums. I have been after an Omega Seamster Planet Ocean now for about 2 years. Very expensive and i thought i would not be able to afford a thing of such beauty until i was at least 40 yrs old (Thats when my wife told me i could have one anyway)
One day i was surfing the interweb and asked Google "What watch will Bond be wearing in the next Bond film" One of the forums that i came accross was one saying that the quintesential British Spy should be wearing a British watch and this should be something like a Christopher Ward. Mmmmmmmm i thought what is this then.
I then looked at the site and immediately took an interest in the C60 Trident GMT with the orange bezel.
After a few weeks of looking at various forums and a few videos online i decide that the price of the watch versus the quality that you allegedly get was worth taking a punt.
I have had a Seiko Auto Kienetic for about 7 yrs now (black face with gold numbers and hands) and love the watch.
I ordered the watch on Sunday 1st january on the leather strap with the orange stiching. It has arrived today (Friday 6th Jan) via Special delivery.
Well what can i say the unwrapping was awesome. The box is a thing of beauty in itself and when you get to the watch well. I will try and uploaded a few photos of the unwrapping and a few closeups of the watch its self when this site lets me upload them.
I have been wearing it for a while now and it feels very comfortable the strap is very very nice and compliments the watch alongside the orange bezel. I think ill be ordering the bracelet soon as i like to get my hands/arms wet and dont think the leather will thank me.
The watch itself is very very well made some of the details are spot on, the brushed side of the case and the polished rest of it work very well. The hands and dial is very cool and the wave pattern on the face doesnt stand out too much its just a little bit of background attraction. The bezel is very sturdy and the clicks feel solid and very professional. Im not a diver but will be using it when snorkling and swimming on holiday etc.
For the price of this watch im glad i didnt get a 5 x more expensive Omega i just dont know why Omega, Breitling, Rolex are charging soo much for what is essentially a very similar watch with a few differences.
The watch is very well made and i thought i would share some of the pics with other Christopher Ward owners.
Im already looking at getting another one !!

Re: C60 Trident GMT
Nice review. Just the pictures now.
The reason the other brands are so expensive is part to do with dealer margins, advertising and marketing and to be fair with some of the main brands higher quality. But as you have found out the CWL watches are not that far behind for a fraction of the price. Story here - http://www.christopherward.co.uk/about_us.html

Re: C60 Trident GMT
Nice pics. I am still not 100% convinced of the red GMT hand with the orange bezel but in real life it does not look as bad as the original web site pictures.

Thanks for all the photos.damodude32 wrote:A few pics as promised.

The GMT function can be used in a number of ways.
I tend to set the 12h hand to local, 24h hand to GMT and, during summer, the bezel to home time, but you can certainly swap the last two or leave the bezel at 0 ... whatever suits you.
I understand that some pilots and amateur radio enthusiasts use the 12h for GMT and the 24h for local time.
