C7 Rapide Chrono - Red

Post by androo »

This arrived today. I know it is not to everyone's liking but it is red and shiny so I am happy.
As the title says it is the new C7 Rapide Chrono in red. had it on pre order when it first hit the web site. like the C70 MC the pictures of the final watch changed and the dial looked more of a reddy brown and my photos look a sort of orangey red but it looks a nice bright red to me. Would love this with an automatic movement (hint hint Mr Ward)

Hey... not bad. Much better at first glance than I was thinking it would be. Of course, I haven't had enough "stare at it" time yet. Let's see what I think about it tomorrow.

Much better that the web photo (as seems to be the case with most watches). Still would not buy one myself though.

I reckon CW made this watch with you in mind. :)

Not my cuppa, but as others have said, it looks better than the renderings, and great if you like red/shiny things.

Congrats on the latest acquistion.

Nice pick-up androo and Congrats on being the first on here with this watch (or at least the first to post about it). As others have said, not my cup of tea but it does look good in your pics and I hope you enjoy it. How do you find the lack of markers on the sub dials, particularly the seconds dial? I think that with my OCD tendancies, that would annoy me slightly esp. on a quartz. Maybe that is why you are gunning for an auto :D

Beg your pardon, just noticed the markers on the outer part of the subdial. That's what happen when you look at the forum on an iPod touch!

Very nice, CWL needed another red dialed watch in their collection, is it a limited edition or just in the standard line up like the brown + cream dial C7's were?

Ah a proper picture of it at last, I have been waiting to see what it looks like since CW put on the web before it goes on my list of wants.

Very nice androo and thanks for showing us, ware with good health. :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

As for the auto version, yep would be nice too, not too dis-simular to an Airboss Mac 6 by Victorinox

I'm surprised this watch isn't more popular. I love it although would cosider changing the band to brown. I'm having a hard time justifying the purchase so soon after Christmas but I'm afraid it won't remain at the same price for long. Oh what t do, what to do.
