Or for something different a pre owned vintage like an Omega or possibly Tudor.

So that'd now be 67 days to Xmas and 73 days until I'm married
Thanks for the reminder, just what I needed

On topic wouldn't you be best deciding what type of watch you want or what you'll be using it for?
e.g. dress, diver, aviator types or a watch for 'best', wearing with jeans and t-shirt, for the office etc.

That said you'll probably want an all round watch for all occasions. I only mention these things as it might focus your thoughts and maybe rule out some makes/types to make the final choice easier. It sort of works for me 8)

I have the (perhaps more iconic) Orange Monster.

It has a face that only a mother could love.
It's big and heavy, but not particularly so by modern fashion standards.
The movement is tough, reliable, but not refined. It is acceptably accurate.
The lume is amongst the best non-tritium (Lum-Tec are in another class).
The bracelet is very, very good at the price point.

... and twice a day you get a rocket...

You may also like to look at the new Seiko 5 diver which is very nice and only £103.
