+1.

Easily the best bang for the buck while they were still in production.
Nowadays it's very hard to find one.

Some more interesting selections - thanks chaps. Seiko goes back on the list, I think.

I've quite a few watches in my "watch list" on ebay currently! The thing is, the ones I like tend not to be cheap, and when I look at the cost I start to think: "Hmmm, for that money I should really have an auto." Know what I mean? I think I should keep thinking for a bit (unless I "accidentally" win one of those in my ebay list...).

Late to the party, but have you looked at Ollech and Wajs? They have a history and produced the issue watches for the SEALs etc in Vietnam and you can still buy 'em. As a really good basic dive watch that you cannot break I think they are hard to beat. The other one that springs to mind and very similar, has already been suggested by Laird - CWC. I have used these a lot in past times and they are very good. I've had standard G10 versions and the chrono. The NAVY/SBS versions are excellent value and you can get them on rubber or NATO.

I also think Seiko have a great line up for not very much money. :)

Cheers,
Jack.
