33kg down, 5kg to go. How hard can it be? :)

Well done Richard, I'm sure the last 5kg might be the hardest but possibly the most rewarding

I am waiting to see if I have landed a C61 in the NN sale. If not a similar diver will be on the list for 2014.
Still on the look out for a birth year (1966) and wishing I had the staying power to save up enough for a Bremont Solo 37 white and not get distracted by other stuff like I did this year.

ps. Downer, I am hugely impressed with the determination to loose that much weight, very well done and good luck.

I missed out on a C8 in the NN sale, give me a shout if/when you want to shift it :)

1) Tudor 94300
2) Sinn 903
3) Wakmann triple date

But then i might ended up with something completely different...
Would like to add a Hammy chronomatic too!

Will be very interesting revisiting this thread at the end of this year :-)

It's interesting to look back at this time of year and see what I was aiming at and what happened - and what better day to look back at what I posted in the "most wished for in 2013" thread : http://www.christopherwardforum.com/vie ... 90#p228105

Like jammy devil I was after a Schauer einzeiger. Tested the waters mid-year with a Meistersinger clock - still getting on well with it, but the other half still hates it! Anyway, it reassured me that I would get on OK with a one hander.

But Schauer has pretty much ceased production, as Jammy posted above. So I ended 2013 without an einzeiger on my wrist :(

But, just before the end of the year, the chance came up to order one (not quite as nice as the gold handed one Jammy is after, but it'll do for me). Fingers crossed, it should arrive at some point in January. :D So all being well, my first two for 2014 are going to be this pair of Schauers:-

What a stunning pair, indeed.
How did you "get the chance to order one", schticy ?
- I've been waiting since September 2012 and have given up all hope of ever obtaining a Schauer.

They showed up on the last day of the adventskalender promotion - and there was a Kulisse edition 7 earlier in the month. But I think these are the only watches Jorg has produced under the Schauer name recently - as he is committed to handfinish every single watch himself it is probably too time consuming for him to restart serial production at the moment. Also seems there have been some significant issues producing the Durowe movement. Everything I've read suggests the only way to get a Schauer for the foreseeable future is through a one-off promotion  But hopefully this won't be the case forever.
