I've got another one, also easy to read without my reading glasses. (I do rather like that blue one) Let's see how this one settles... UB

I sat here for bloody ages before I worked out what the letters around the circumference were for - had to do it alone, too embarrassed to ask... I quite like that watch... UB

Does this qualify? My dads watch that he bought in the seventies. Pretty rough shape as it has been well used. He wore it for 30 odd years. Currently slated for restoration project someday.Keeps great time though!

Has it it run for 30 years with or without a service Kip??
To my knowledge the watch has never been serviced. He did put new shoes on it after about 10 years. He might have had it serviced at that time. Just a guess though.

Hello Gents, been away from the forum for a while, but should be back with a vengeance.
I too grabbed a 5 from ebay a few months ago and like Daz I use it nearly every day at work as it is smaller and less intrusive than my other watches, which is handy when typing.
It keeps great time as well. It doesn't quite make it through the weekend without wear so needs resetting on Monday morning, but its usually not far off.

Heres some pics I put in another thread a few months ago.

Thanks for the nice photos Dant100 - just an update on my S5's - the one I adjusted still keeps time. The black one only gains a few seconds a day and is not worth fiddling with for that, just line it up at a weekend. Any more about?...UB

Russ - have you got yourself a 5 or something with the 7S26 movement yet? They're well-cheap and everyone should have one - bit like a pet rat, really...UB.. :)

I've got a SNZ391J.

It's a great little watch and was my daily beater until my Luminox H3!
