Which brand wouldn't you buy and why?
So apart from all the invicta & rotary crap you can get from Argos I personally would never buy Tag heuer because it's overdesigned, overrated and overpriced imo.

There are no brands I would not buy... but there are many models from brands I would not touch.

Somehow Rolex just do not appeal to me..I think I associate it with our Tenderpreneurs, one of the 1st things on their shopping list is a Rolex when they get their 1st tender.

Re: Which brand wouldn't you buy and why?
I'm not sure there is a brand that I would say flat out that I wouldn't buy from, but I'm not sure that I will own a quartz, I am a mechanical lover, which is what's held me back from pulling the trigger on the C7.
A word on Tag, I quite like the look of some of their watches, but in terms of ethos, they have got to be classed as the absolute polar opposite of CWL, stocked in retailers the world over, more celebrity endorsers and sponsorships than pieces in their collection. I don't think at the pricepoint they sit at, they would hold a lot of appeal to me - but I'd happily own one if I got a bargain second hand. I also think they change the look of their models too often for any of them to become really 'classic'

I've yet to see a Hublot that isn't hideous, and those Graham coffee pot designs are an aesthetic crime.

Personally, I have no "restrictions" for me self, but...
1) Parnis (it's for homages, not for their own exclusive models)
2) Hublot (just hate that ugly design line)
3 and 4) Breguet and Vacheron Constantin (I'm too young for it and will always be)
5) Longines (feels like "not enough money for Vacheron Constantin")
6) Versace/Cartier/Maurice Lacroix (just not a gay)
7) Victorinox/Wenger/Hanova - all under "Swiss Army" brand (I feel that company after making good knives for 100 years cant' just start to make a good watch in few years)

Ball - not because dislike the brand, I actually know the CEO. There is just something with everyone of their watches that turn me off, the B logo on the Seconds Hand for one

Re: Which brand wouldn't you buy and why?
This is a which brands do you hate question.
If I had to answer that it would be Hublot. Its the Tag reasoning again (although no one buys tags at full price so they can be good value in a sale plus I'm not sure if there would be so many haters if tag didn't buy up the Heuer brand, there's a long history there and you more often than not have to pay for that in luxury watches). Hublot have a Maridonna and a depeche mode watch for gods sake - they'll sponsor anything and have used base movements but the thing is I'm over hating brands.
I don't like Hublot simply because I'm not their target market maybe if I tried one on first and was in the position to buy I wouldn't bitch about them so anything goes as very few brands have poor build quality so its always about personal appea and one mans dog is another mans supermodel.
