On Amazon there are watches such as Certina , Tissot , Hamilton , Raymond Weil , Edox , Alpina and Davosa that come within budget , might be worth a look .

My Orient GMT was $830 shipped from Higuchi. With the yen at (what I hear are) historic lows, Japanese watches are a heckuva deal. For the extra $100 or £66, you can get a nice leather band. Or take the wife out to dinner as penance. :D

Even though it keeps showing up- figured I would give you all a different photo.

A few come to my mind around £600 new:

Glycine combat
Tutima DI300 (internet price), I like the yellow dial version a lot
A few Frederique Constant
Archimede Fleiger

At £600, the CW is a very nice choice though.

Another company worth considering:

No outlets in the UK, or there wasn't when I bought mine, but they threw in a 20% discount, which covered the 20% duty I had to pay for the watch to be sent from Switzerland! This one won't be everyone's cup of tea although it's better balanced with the new strap, not in photo, that now adorns it, it came in at over £500, but under £600. Well worth checking their website.

I think these are around 44/45mm , it will probably be a Unitas movement (6497-1). Im sure there is a version with the small seconds at 6 .
